Divina Commedia: Manuele Morgese

On Friday, September 19, 2025, the General Lectures Hall at Wayne State University in Detroit turned into a journey through Hell, Purgatory, and Paradise.
Renowned Italian actor Manuele Morgese brought to life five of the most iconic and influential cantos from Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy, performed entirely in the original Italian with extraordinary passion and intensity.
Accompanying Dante’s timeless words were the hauntingly beautiful sounds of Luke Pisani on violin and Ami Matsushita on cello. This perfect musical dialogue made the spiritual journey even more profound and moving.
A truly unforgettable evening was offered and organized by the Consulate of Italy in Detroit, the Dante Alighieri Society of Michigan, Circolo Italiano, and Wayne State University, with the support of Società Dante Alighieri – Dante Global in Rome.
Italian culture continues to shine in Detroit!
